By: BWW News Desk
On Friday, June 9, 2006, Vitello's Italian Restaurant in Studio City, CA will open "Sterling's Upstairs," an all-new supper club that will present the best of Broadway, cabaret and nightclub artists. Performances will be presented twice nightly on Fridays and Saturdays with 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm seatings. A four-course, prix-fixe menu will be set at $25.00 per person, with a $40.00 entertainment cover charge (which may vary depending upon the performer).
"Sterling's Upstairs" will be produced by Michael Sterling of Michael Sterling & Associates, the Sherman Oaks-based entertainment public relations company. Since 1980, Sterling has represented such stellar clients as Elizabeth Taylor, Lance Armstrong, Scott Hamilton, David Copperfield, Joan Collins, Alan Thicke, David Brenner, Andy Gibb, and Robert Goulet. Aside from his celebrity clientele, Sterling has represented various National Theatre and arena tours, Los Angeles theatre productions, Emmy Award-winning television specials, celebrity books and albums. Sterling is also a critically-acclaimed director of musical comedy theatre in Los Angeles, and has produced various theatrical events and productions throughout southern California. Sterling has partnered with Vitello's new owner, Matt Epstein, one of the most prominent and successful realtors in the East San Fernando Valley. Popular musical theatre, nightclub, television and recording star Joan Ryan will consult with Sterling and also periodically headline the club as its artist-in-residence.
