UglyRhino's MINDSPIN Plays The Red Loft, Now thru 3/30

By:

UglyRhino's MINDSPIN is an interactive party play about fear and love and is set to play The Red Loft in Downtown L.A., Fridays & Saturdays, tonight, March 22-30th, 2013.

Through both performance and participation, MINDSPIN explores anxiety and lust across the many levels of consciousness that can be opened in one epic night out. PArt Party and part play, the story centers on two women with a complex relationship that blurs friendship, work and creative collaboration. When a new man enters their lives for a night, he forces them to address their inner "mindspin" of self-doubt, identity and sexual desires. This immersive social and theatrical event will engage the audience with all of their six senses. Each evening will include live music, art installations, and a post-show party.

MINDSPIN marks UglyRhino Productions' premiere full-length production in Los Angeles. Known for their immersive productions with a heavy social component, UglyRhino promises affordable, dynamic and multi-sensory theatrical experiences. UglyRhino has presented sold-out interactive pieces, including Warehouse of Horrors, Warehouse of Horrors: Gowanus '73 and Centralia at the 10k square-foot Brooklyn Lyceum warehouse where they have maintained a residency since 2010.

The show is conceived and written by Bryce Norbitz and Nicole Rosner, and directed by Nicole Rosner (UglyRhino Artistic Director). It will feature an original sound composition and design by Jesse Flower-Ambroch, Lighting Design by Anna Martín, and art instillations by artists including Harley Prechtel-Cortez. Performers include David Bly, Becca Lustgarten, Jon Matthews, Zachary Puchtel, Jessica Richmond, Lauren Swann, and Tanya Zoeller.

The Red Loft is located at 605 E. 4th Street, Downtown, L.A. Admission is $20 and include 2 FREE cocktails. Tickets are now available online (general admission) and at the door. Visit the website for more information. Follow UglyRhino on www.facebook.com/UglyRhino and www.twitter.com/UglyRhinoNYC.
