No time for a curtain call just yet! Following back to back sold-out performances of its acclaimed Bowie rock opera, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, last April, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles will be returning for two encore performances this coming weekend.

Presented by Season 2 Presenting Sponsor, Foresters Financial, and Season 3 Presenting Sponsor, the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, in partnership with the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center, the homage to the Thin White Duke, will return to Hollywood's Renberg Theatre (1125 N. McCadden Place) this Saturday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m.

Its premiere last April made history as the first-ever staged chorus production of David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust..." album, making it an overwhelming success for the chorus and praised by critics and audiences alike.

Called "an essential voice" by The Los Angeles Times since first being established in 2015, TCLA is now considered the leading transgender chorus in the world. It has also become the largest group of trans and gender non-conforming individuals anywhere in the world to gather regularly to raise their voices through song.

TCLA's mission is to fiercely empower trans, non-binary and intersex people to discover, love and use their voices to change the social ecology, everywhere. It's vision is to save lives and change hearts by being a leading global voice expressing the trans narrative.

"Ziggy Stardust takes audiences on an emotional rollercoaster; not unlike the struggles of many trans individuals, the story of Ziggy shows us that we must embrace our true identities, unleash our passions and dare to be free," says Dena Williams, Chair of the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles. "With vivid imagery and exceptionally talented performers the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles through this performance sends a thought provoking and relevant message during these troubling times in our country."

"The Trans Chorus of Los Angeles is very excited to be able to bring back 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' to our Los Angeles family and friends," says Lindsey Deaton, Founder and Artistic Director of TCLA. "TCLA is especially grateful to Jon Imparato, Artistic Director of the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and to the wonderful folks at the Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center for welcoming TCLA back to the Renberg Theater. We are very grateful to be able to call it home."

Tickets for The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, can be purchased directly through the Los Angeles LGBT Center's box office by calling (323) 860-7300, or by visiting EventBrite. Tickets are $35 per person.
