Third Street Theater to Stage YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN
Third Street Theatre has announced the next production in LA's hottest 99-seat theater, the Tony Award-winning musical YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, based on The Comic Strip "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schulz, with Book, Music and Lyrics by Clark Gesner, Additional Dialogue by Michael Mayer, and Additional Music and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa. Directed by Richard Israel.
From the critically acclaimed theatre company that brought you Falsettos (Critic's Pick - LA TIMES), The Last Five Years, The Full Monty (Ovation Nominated) and The Burnt Part Boys, take a leap into the funny papers with this beautiful show. Third Street Theatre is proud to present a special engagement of the Broadway Revival version of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. It has been said that this family friendly musical is "an average day in the life of Charlie Brown." And, it really is just that, a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends (both human and non-human) and strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening. Under the direction of an award winning creative team; directed by Richard Israel, choreographed by John Todd, musical direction by Jennifer Lin - this powerhouse cast - Richie Ferris, Stanton Morales, Ruben J. Carbarjal, Jonathan Brett, Leigh Golden, and Rachel Hirshee - will have you leaving the theatre inspired, happy, and maybe just a little bit more hopeful!
Performances run Friday's & Saturday's at 8pm, Sunday's at 4pm thru October 23rd. Third Street Theatre. 8115 W. 3rd Street, 2nd Floor, LA 90048. Call 323-655-9232 for more information.
