Theatre Raymond Kabbaz Screens Short Films Directed by Women Tonight

By:

Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz is pleased to celebrate women's day by screening 6 short films directed by women. The evening's format will be presented in two 50 minutes long programs. There will be a Q&A with some of the films directors. All films in French with English subtitles.

For the first year, TRK will partner with the French non-profit organization EROÏN to celebrate Women's Day. Eroïn is an association created in 2014 by Audrey Clinet, aiming to promote and value women's creation in cinema industry. Even if the number of films directed by women has risen, the number of women filmmakers in festivals remains minimal. This is why EROÏN devotes itself to promote women behind the camera.

French painter artist Armelle Falliex will exhibit "Remarkable woman project", a series of canvas that highlight women who, in the past, were key contributors to the improvement of their living conditions and fought for their rights.

Screenings run at 10361 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90064. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students at tinyurl.com/nj7aulr or by calling (310-286-0553). For more information, visit www.theatreraymondkabbaz.com or follow on Facebook: www.facebook.com/events/586501648171292.
