The multi award-winning THEATRE TRIBE is thrilled to announce that the Los Angeles premiere of A SKULL IN CONNEMARA, written by acclaimed playwright Martin McDonagh (The Beauty Queen of Leenane), directed by Ovation Award-winner Stuart Rogers (The Long Christmas Ride Home, Recent Tragic Events) and featuring Ovation award-winner Morlan Higgins, Jenny O'Hara, John K. Linton and Jeff Kerr McGivney is EXTENDING through Saturday, March 28 at Theatre Tribe, 5267 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Every fall Mick Dowd digs up old bones in the cemetery to make way for the new corpses. As the time comes for him to dig up bones of his dead wife, rumors and accusations surface about Mick¹s involvement in her death. This dark comedy about murder, theft, bone crushing and hamster cooking is written by one of Ireland's most acclaimed playwrights.

Martin McDonagh (Playwright) was born in London in 1971 to expatriate Irish parents. His plays include "The Lonesome West" (Tony nominee, Best Play 1999), "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" (Tony nominee, Best Play 1999), "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" (Olivier Award winner, Best Comedy 2003) and "The Pillowman" which was a Tony nominee for Best Play 2005 and an Olivier Award winner in 2004. He has been resident playwright at the Royal National Theatre in London, and has won numerous awards, including the Evening Standard Award and Critics' Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright and four Tony Awards for "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" when it opened on Broadway. Other works include "Suicide on Sixth Street", "Shit on Illinois", "Seven Psychopaths", "In Bruges" starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson and "Six-Shooter" (Oscar, Best Short 2006).

Stuart Rogers (Director) is the artistic director and founder of Theatre Tribe and recently won the Ovation Award for Best Director for his production of Paula Vogel's The Long Christmas Ride Home. Before directing, Stuart made his living as an actor for 12 years, performing in Equity theatres across the country, studio and independent films, and on television. Stuart transitioned out of acting and into directing, providing him with a wide range of experience from production assistant to producer in both film and theatre. Stuart recently directed Theatre Tribe's critically acclaimed production of Recent Tragic Events and the original play, The Intern by Tribe member Jon Cellini. Before that he directed Book of Days, which received a Best Direction Award from the LA Drama Critics Circle and Best Direction and Best Ensemble Garland Awards from BackStage West. He also directed Theatre Tribe's West Coast premiere of Lanford Wilson's Sympathetic Magic, its West Coast premiere of Shelagh Stephenson's The Memory of Water, Clifford Odet's Waiting for Lefty, and The Madman and the Nun, and has directed over 30 shows at such theatres as The Tiffany, The Matrix and the CBS Studio Center. Tribe's film project: The Film Wing, has produced three short films this year, that Stuart has also directed. "Look for Dirty Mary," "Late," and "The Secret Love of Angus O'Brenahan" at a film festival near you. Stuart has taught private acting classes for the past ten years. Both current and former students are network and cable television series regulars, acting on Broadway, and performing in big budget feature films. His students have won Emmys and Golden Globes, and received Tony Award nominations.

The cast of A SKULL IN CONNEMARA features Morlan Higgins*, Jenny O'Hara*, John K. Linton* and Jeff Kerr McGivney.

The production has assembled an award-winning design team. The Set Design is by Jeff McLaughlin. The Lighting Design is by Luke Moyer. A SKULL IN CONNEMARA will be produced by Sara Shapley.

A SKULL IN CONNEMARA is EXTENDING through Saturday, March 28 at Theatre Tribe, 5267 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm.
