The Tin Can Brothers Bring SERIOUSLY. NOT A JOKE. to Hollywood, Now thru 12/13

Online sketch comedy group The Tin Can Brothers hit the stage with their newest live show, SERIOUSLY. NOT A JOKE., tonight, December 11, 12, and 13 at the ACME Comedy Theatre in Hollywood. This sketch show marks the group's west coast debut following sold out performances in Chicago this summer.

SERIOUSLY. NOT A JOKE. explores a myriad of dramatic themes including (but not limited to): assassination, free will, class structure, firearms, the merits of William Shakespeare, and the tangible/intangible legacy one leaves after death, all with an absurdist twist. Are you a supporter of modern dance? Do you appreciate the comedy in three grown men baring their souls onstage for three nights? Do you have two eyes, a mouth, and hearing in at least one ear? Then, statistically, you should laugh at LEAST 3-5 times during this show.

The Tin Can Brothers is made up of Los Angeles based entertainers, Corey Lubowich, Joey Richter, and Brian Rosenthal. With talents ranging from writing and acting, to directing and design, the Tin Can Brothers YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/tincanbros) showcases a unique collaboration from these University of Michigan graduates. The three are also members of the viral sensation Team Starkid (over 170 million views on YouTube) and have worked closely on their parody musicals (including A Very Potter Musical and Holy Musical B@man) as well as two national concert tours.

Corey Lubowich's past work has included directing Airport for Birds (and Other Great Ideas) at Chicago's Second City, a national concert tour with Glee's Darren Criss, working with the Chicago Shakespeare and Lookingglass Theatres, and producing acclaimed productions of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Reefer Madness, and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Corey also co-created the musical webseries World's Worst Musical.

Joey Richter can be seen on the Disney Channel's Jessie in the recurring role of Officer Petey as well as several seconds of Fox's Glee as Apple #8 and as a staffer Philip Seymour Hoffman needed to step over in George Clooney's The Ides of March. In the world of animation, Joey's voice can be heard in the shows The Legend of Korra, Mad, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Manly, as well as Triggerfish's film Khumba. Online, Joey has appeared in the webseriesSchool of Thrones as Theon Greyjoy and New Form Digital's Incubator Series short, I Ship It. Joey also co-produced and performed inThe Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Chicago's Stage 773.

Brian Rosenthal performs improv at iO, has performed regionally with the Peterborough Players (The Torchbearers, The Foreigner) and the Michigan Shakespeare Festival (Julius Caesar, All's Well That Ends Well), and has appeared nationally in commercials. He can be seen over Philip Seymour Hoffman's shoulder, blurry, in the background of a scene in George Clooney's The Ides of March. He also co-produced and performed in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Chicago's Stage 773.

The show also features Brant Cox, Al Fallick, Emily Hanley, and Ashley Skidmore.

TINCAN BROTHERS: SERIOUSLY. NOT A JOKE. runs tonight, December 11th, 12th, and 13th, 2014 at 8 PM at the ACME Comedy Theatre Hollywood (135 N. La Brea Ave).
