The Production Company to Launch Environmental Lab Series with THE BLUE MOON DANCING, 6/10-13

By:

The Production Company's Artistic Directors August Viverito and T L Kolman announce the launch of a new series of environmentally-staged plays with Ed Graczyk's beautiful and knock-out hysterical The Blue Moon Dancing, directed by David Youse. The event takes place at our studio space, dubbed The Production Company Workspace, at 14731 Oxnard St., Van Nuys, CA 91411, four performances only, Tuesday June 10 through Friday, June 13, 2014 at 8 PM.

The Blue Moon Dance Hall provides an escape from the daily routine of our lives-a place where we hope to find a piece of excitement to forget our chores. But for its cast of idiosyncratic regulars it is also a refuge for hopes, dreams, fantasies and lies. This particular day at The Blue Moonincludes a wedding, a tornado, Elvis, an attempted suicide and the face of Jesus in a water stain on the ceiling. Something is always brewing down at The Blue Moon. Come on down and see us. You'll be glad you did.

Bringing life to the play's wonderful characters are Laura Pursell as Connie, Jennifer Lynn Davis as Bernice, Tiffany Cole as Nadine, Jason Britt as Eugene, Christine Ostrander as Pearl Jean, Edmund L. Shaff as Howard, Michelle Simek as Leona, Judy Nazemetz as Roselle, Richard Lucas as Rodney, John Couch as Joel, and Ferrell Marshall as Della. The play is directed by David Youse, assistant directed by Lane Allison, and produced by John Couch for The Production Company.

The author, Ed Graczyk, is best known as the playwright of Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, for which, in association with David Youse, work is underway on a New York revival.

THE BLUE MOON DANCING will play FOUR PERFORMANCES ONLY, Tuesday June 10 through Friday, June 13, 2014 at 8 PM. Please note that THE BLUE MOON DANCING is performed at THE PRODUCTION COMPANY WORKSPACE, 14731 Oxnard St., Van Nuys, CA 91411, between Van Nuys Blvd. and Kester Ave. Plenty of free parking right out front. Tickets are $10. Limited seating; reservations strongly recommended. Visit theprodco.com or call 800-838-3006.
