The Black Dahlia Theatre Presents STRAY, Now-11/22

By:

The Black Dahlia Theatre & the Chalk Repertory Theatre Company present the world premiere of Ruth McKee's STRAY.

Rachel and James move from Uganda to Ohio, hoping to provide a better life for their newly adopted African son, Daniel. Suffering from a severe case of PTSD, Daniel struggles desperately in the public school system, overwhelming his inexperienced teacher and threatening to unravel Rachel & James' marriage. Ruth McKee, Canadian-born playwright, Los Angeles transplant, and prestigious UCSD Playwriting Program graduate, received the 2008 Stanley Drama Award for Stray.

This production is directed by Larissa Kokernot and stars Angela Bullock, Jennifer Chang, Eileen Galindo, Matt Gaydos, and Analies Lorig.

Stray runs through November 22 with performances Thursday-Saturday at 8pm and on Sunday at 7pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through www.brownpapertickets.com.

The Black Dahlia Theatre is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development and production of new plays by both established and emerging writers. For more information visit thedahlia.com.
