The 3rd CRxEATIVITY Festival Date Is Announced Image

After two successful festivals that saw 200+ attendees, CRxEATIVITY is pleased to announce their 3rd edition will be focusing on "healing through creativity" on Saturday, December 1, 2018. The Red Carpet affair will see 30+ local artists, filmmakers, and performers and will be benefiting the Cancer Support Community in Pasadena, California.

Joining Executive Producers Jennifer Seifert and Malena Hougen Patel on the CRxEATIVITY team will be producers Jennifer Thibault, Liza Marquez, Gina Fenard, Pearlin De Long, Stephanie Stephenson, and Victoria Valentino. Valentino, an artist and sexual assault activist, is the 9th woman to speak out publicly against Bill Cosby and is a founding member of End Rape Statutes of Limitation (ERSOL). Collectively the producers decided that this year's festival needed to focus on art and entertainment as a means of healing.

"I have always reached for creative distraction, when life has delivered surprising, immobilizing, and traumatic events," said Executive Producer Jennifer Seifert on why they chose 'healing through creativity' as the theme. "When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that rendered me unable to walk, I turned to writing. I was then able to pull myself from the darkness that I was sure was going to be my life. Creativity is medicine for the soul and sometimes it is the only Rx that works to strike a balance in this messy and wonderful world."

The evening will be hosted by comedians Katierose Donohue and Misty Monroe and will feature Danielle Kennedy (Narcos), Matt Weinstein's "What Bernie Madoff Couldn't Steal From Me" Ted Talks, singer Molly Bryant, comedian Rebecca O'Brien, and TedxPasadena Women's Megan Dolan. Rounding out the artists will be Alex Ubokudom, Ali Waxman, Allison Adams, Amy Schloerb, Angelina Altabano, Angelina Spicer, Annie Terry, Benjamin Morales, Brian Joseph, Buna Dorr, Caroline Holmes, Chris Strother, Erica Blumfield, Fran de Leon, Guilford Adams, Jennie Fahn, Jennifer Cowie King, Lakisha May, Megan Austin Oberle, Michael Shutt, Morgan Rusler, Ngozi Kim, Peter Winfield, Quinn Klingerman, Rebecca O'Brien, Reina Alirez, Robyn Heller, Rosana Aziernicki, Sasha Koziak, Steve Rozic, Suzanne Guillette, and Suzanne Schmidt.

The 3rd CRxEATIVITY Festival will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 6:30pm - 10:00pm at an art gallery located at 2363 Lincoln Ave., Altadena, CA 91001. The evening will have complimentary hor d'oeuvres and beverages and will be benefiting the Cancer Support Community in Pasadena, CA.
