THE LIGHTHOUSE to Receive Staged Reading at Fountain Theatre
By: Julie Musbach Mar. 23, 2018

The Lighthouse - The winning play in the Fountain Theatre's 4th annual "Rapid Development Series" for young writers gets two free staged readings. Inspired by the Stanford rape case, The Lighthouse is a surrealist play about the thing that happens all the time - but no one wants to talk about. Twenty-year-old college student Jesse attempts to enjoy a post-finals beach week with her friends, but soon realizes the trip is more a haunting memory than a vacation. The Fountain's Rapid Development Series (RDS) is a competition-style reading series designed to showcase the work of previously unproduced Los Angeles-based playwrights under the age of 30.
