Broadway musical THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, based on the novel by Robert James Waller, with book by Marsha Norman and music & lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, is headed to Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre this winter. The production begins December 8, 2015 and runs through January 17, 2016, with opening night set for December 9, 2015. Bartlett Sher's original direction will be recreated by Tyne Rafaeli. Movement by Danny Mefford.

The irresistible, two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical based on one of the most romantic stories ever written, THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY is the second production in the 49th season at the Ahmanson Theatre.

THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY tells the story of Iowa housewife Francesca Johnson and her life-changing, four-day whirlwind romance with traveling photographer Robert Kincaid. It's an unforgettable story of two people caught between decision and desire, as a chance encounter becomes a second chance at so much more.

Based on one of the most romantic stories ever written, THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY will travel to more than 15 cities in its first season, with additional cities to be announced.
