Theatre West will present Storybook Theatre's musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" on Saturdays at 1 p.m. at 3333 Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90068

Storybook Theatre's fun-filled version of this famous story has lots of singing, dancing, audience participation, and a funny witch with a handsome prince. The children in the audience become the seven dwarfs who help rescue Snow White. Book by Scott Martin, lyrics by Rob Meurer, music composed by Richard Berent. directed by David P. Johnson, produced by Barbara Mallory.

Storybook Theatre was created 36 years ago by Theatre West company members, Lloyd Schwartz and Barbara Mallory after they realized that the Los Angeles theatre community had nothing to offer their young sons. They started producing fairy tales in the park which became so popular that they moved their shows to the main stage at Theatre West.

Storybook Theatre has been presenting young children and their families with fun, age appropriate interactive theatre and musicals. Classic fairy tales are adapted for the stage and set to music with plenty of opportunities to wiggle, move and shout. Before the show begins, children learn about theatre etiquette - what to expect during the show and how to behave. Parents bring their children, many of whom saw Storybook when they were little. The show is 50 minutes long with a juice and cookie intermission. After the show children can meet the cast and get autographs. Birthday parties and school field trips available as well.

Storybook Theatre's mission is to the first theatre experience of every child in Los Angeles.
