Steve Turner Contemporary Publishes Los Angeles Artists Map

StEve Turner Contemporary today announced the publication of its Los Angeles Artists Map showcasing the city's artistic landscape and the diverse locations of artist dwellings in LA. The map features twenty-five Angelino artist studios and over seventy-five artists. Los Angeles Artists Map is being released along with the launch of Pacific Standard Time and Art Platform-Los Angeles which has been designed to put a face on Los Angeles' reputation as a world center for contemporary art production. A special open house tour of the featured artists' studios for the public will take place on Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd, 2011. Additionally, StEve Turner Contemporary is pleased to announce the gallery's latest exhibit featuring five artists each presenting solo shows running simultaneously. In addition to using the two main galleries, StEve Turner Contemporary will utilize unique spaces such as the library, the exterior of the building facing Wilshire Blvd will feature two works, a video installation can be viewed on the balcony and a billboard-sized work on the roof of the building.

Artists featured in the exhibit include Edgar Orlaineta, Lee Lynch, Masood Kamandy, Steven Bankhead, and the collaborative team of Botner & Pedro. The exhibit opens to the public on September 10, 2011 and runs through October 8, 2011 with an opening reception on the 10th from 6-9PM (6026 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036) represents the work of emerging and established contemporary artists.
