Sterling's At Vitello's Declares 1/09 & 2/09 A Success

Producer Michael Sterling of Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's in Studio City, CA reports that January and February, 2009 are unprecedented as the two most successful months of attendance at the critically acclaimed supper-club since its June, 2006 opening. "We are thrilled that in this remarkable time of economical decline, we have hosted a record number of guests since the beginning of this new year.

Thanks to our patrons, at least Studio City is alive with the sound of music." The 105 seat venue, dubbed "LA's cabaret destination" by the Los Angeles Times, was also the recipient of a 2008 Readers Choice Award from the Los Angeles Daily News for Best Live Entertainment; with Vitello's being named one of the Best Italian Restaurants in Los Angeles by Los Angeles Magazine.

LA's Next Great Stage Star 2009, (Sterling's third annual, American Idol-type, competition geared to presenting new talent specific to the theatre stage and judged by an elite panel of New York and Los Angeles theatre professionals,) enjoyed six sold-out events with nightly waiting lists averaging 50% of the club's capacity.

"This month's engagements, which began Saturday, February 14 with popular recording artist Sandy Zacky and former teen idol and recording artist Mike Clifford (who also co-starred in the first national tour of Grease with John Travolta and Barry Bostwick,) went clean 10 days prior to opening..." said Sterling, "not to mention upcoming shows with marvelous regional musical theatre star Rita Tarin (Saturday, February 21) from this past summer's LA revivals of Phantom and Singin' In The Rain; and Antony Field (Saturday, February 28), a skillful student of the Great American Songbook whose smooth crooning and cool sense of chic have put a lock on month-end sales."

A staple musical theatre star in Los Angeles, Ms. Murphy also co-stars as Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular presented daily at California Adventure in Anaheim, CA. Current pricing at Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's is a $50 VIP Premium, Preferred Seating Package which includes a four-course, prix-fixe dinner with a choice from three entrees, plus a one hour performance; and a $25 General Admission package.
Dinner seating on Saturdays is between 6:30 and 7:00 pm, followed by an 8:00 pm performance. Sunday seatings are between 5:30 and 6:00 pm, followed by a 7:00 pm performance.
