Little Fish Theatre is excited to present Chills and Thrills, a limited-run presentation of five short plays written in the Halloween spirit. The spooky special will have only four performances, so audiences are encouraged to buy their tickets soon to see these twisted tales. LFT is offering a special price of only $20 a ticket for this fundraiser production.

Chills and Thrills will take audiences into a world where chairs eat guests, tea is served over seemingly dead bodies, and a has-been actress auditions for the (last?) role of her life. The short plays are written by James C. Ferguson (The Chair), Steven Korbar (Leading Lady), Marisa Roemer (Death and Dismemberment), Frankie Rose (Copacetic) and Anonymous (Moonbite). Taking on the directing reigns are Company Members Don Schlossman* (LFT's Table Manners and Domestic Tranquility), Richard Perloff* (last seen on stage in LFT's Sleuth), and Brendan Gill (LFT's Pick of the Vine).

Cast members include all LFT Company Members. The familiar faces include: Schlossman*, Shirley Hatton* (LFT's The Ithaca Ladies Read Medea and StageScene LA Award winner for Sweeney Todd), Rodney Rincon* (LFT's Ethan Claymore and StageSceneLA Award winner for LFT's Bus Stop), Greg Prusiewicz (LFT's The 39 Steps), and Olivia Schlueter-Corey (LFT's Domestic Tranquility). Rachel Levy (LFT's Pick of the Vine) will be appearing as one of the "Twisted Hostesses" helping guide the audience through the maze of creepy plays.

LFT Company Members Annie Vest and Margaret Schugt will be taking on dual roles for Chills and Thrills as both producers and actors on stage. Vest, last seen on the boards in 2015's Pick of the Vine remarked, "I've always loved Halloween and I love short plays. So, putting them together offers us the opportunity to do some darker, more twisted plays than we might normally do at Little Fish Theatre. It's a short evening that will hopefully offer some scares and lots of laughs!" Schugt, who will be playing the other "Twisted Hostess" will also be appearing in LFT's last show of its 2016 season, A Very Special Holiday Special, and was one-half of the cast of LFT's StageSceneLA Award-winning production of Tryst.

Chills and Thrills has four performances: Friday October 28 at 8:00pm; Saturday October 29 at 8:00pm and a special late night show at 10:30pm; and a matinee on Sunday October 30 at 2:00pm. All proceeds from this fundraiser production will go directly to LFT to help cover rising facility costs.

Founded in 2002, Little Fish Theatre presents classic and contemporary plays in an intimate setting on Centre Street in downtown San Pedro. Producing eleven plays each year in a one-room, 65-seat venue, Little Fish delivers the quintessential close-up theatrical experience, where audience and performers share space and sight lines, making for eruptive laughter, highly-charged action, and palpable emotion.

*This production is presented under the auspices of the Actors' Equity Los Angeles Membership Company Rule.
