Sharon Jones and I-Threes Added to 2011 Hollywood Bowl Summer Season

ShaRon Jones joins the stellar line-up for KCRW's World Festival: Global Soul with Rickey Minor, Stevie Wonder and Friends. Previously announced special guests include Janelle Monáe, Grace Potter, Rocky Dawuni, Ceci Bastida, Bombino, and The Soul Seekers.
In a celebration of soul music from around the world, musical director Rickey Minor (American Idol, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno), Stevie Wonder and guests take the audience on a tour of soul sounds across cultures, genres and generations...the final stop is a 40th-anniversary tribute to Marvin Gaye's classic record, What's Going On. (Sunday, July 24 at 7:00 pm)Special guests I-Threes featuring Rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt join KCRW's World Festival line -up for Reggae Night X: Tuff Gong Worldwide & Ziggy Marley Salute Legends of Reggae.
