Santa Paula Theater Center Presents GOOD PEOPLE, 5/1-6/7
Santa Paula Theater Center will present their second show of the Ventura County Premieres Season with the critically acclaimed comic drama GOOD PEOPLE by David Lindsay-Abaire running on its Main Stage from May 1 through June 7, 2015. Performances are on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sunday Matinees at 2:30 pm. All performances will take place at the Santa Paula Theater Center, 125 South 7th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060.
GOOD PEOPLE is a Tony Award nominated comic drama for Best Play and illustrates social class distinctions in two Boston neighborhoods: working class Southie and upper class Chestnut Hill. It centers around Margie, a single mom, who has just been let go from her job at the Dollar Store and is one Bingo game away from being evicted from her home. Perhaps old boyfriend Mikey, who has escaped his blue collar background to become a doctor, could be her ticket out. With surprising plot twists and humor, GOOD PEOPLE, is one of the most popular plays being produced on American stages today.
GOOD PEOPLE is directed by Taylor Kasch and produced by Leslie Nichols. The stellar cast of six includes Kathleen Bosworth as Margie, Kim Prendergast as Jean, Drew Davenport as Stevie, Jill Dolan as Dottie, Ron Feltner as Mike, and Maria Isabella Rojas as Kate. The production will be supported by the Set Designer Mike Carnahan, Lighting Designer Gary Richardson, and Costume Designer Barbara Pedziwiatr. Props Mistress is Gail Heck.
Tickets for GOOD PEOPLE are $20.00 for Adults, $18.00 for Seniors and Students. Reservation may be made through the Santa Paula Theater Center Box Office at (805) 525-4645 or on the SPTC web site at www.santapaulatheatercenter.org .
