SUBURGATORY's Laura Liguori Stars in GIRL ON A BED, Starting Tonight at Skylight Theatre
GIRL ON A BED, the third installment of Murray Mednick's "The Gary Plays" will play at the Skylight Theatre in Los Angeles with a special two-night engagement tonight, December 4th and tomorrow, December 5th at 8pm, and matinee Sunday, December 6th, 2015.
"The role of 'Laura' is a very complicated because she is at extremes. She is seductive, honest, manipulative, otherworldly, delicate, self reliant, vulnerable, yet tough as nails. We needed an actress who could access all of this. Laura Liguori's combination of charisma, vulnerability, and bravery on stage set her apart from the rest," said Mednick.
Award-winning director Zimmerman added, "Laura brings remarkable depth and intelligence to her performance of Mednick's text. His plays are kind of a litmus test for actors -- there's no faking it and only the most gifted actors are really up to the task. Laura has not only proven herself, she's helped me see and hear new facets and nuances of the character she is playing. All in all she is one of the main anchors of this production, and I'm thrilled to be working with such a unique talent."
GIRL ON A BED is produced by Open Fist Entertainment.
Other cast members include Hugh Dane, Peggy Blow, Jeff LeBeau and Carl J. Johnson.
Liguori was most recently seen in ABC's "Suburgatory" and the feature film "Love, Lust & A Room Key." Liguori is currently filming "Hollywood Girl: The Peg Entwistle Story." Laura Liguori is repped by Frontline Management, The Fred Price Agency and AC Talent in Los Angeles.
