STAGE TUBE: Jennifer Holliday Sings 'At Last' on KTLA
In January 2014, Broadway star Jennifer Holliday released her first full-length album of brand new material in 22 years, THE SONG IS YOU. She recently stopped by KTLA in support of the new CD; click below to watch her perform "At Last" on the show!
Holliday is best known for originating the role of 'Effie White' in the 1981 Broadway musical DREAMGIRLS. The role earned her the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, a GRAMMY Award for her recorded version of the song, as well as several Drama Desk and Theater World awards.
Holliday will be appearing at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood on August 16, 2014 in "Broadway Under the Stars" alongside Erich Bergen, Chad Kimball, Danny Gurwin, and more. The revue will feature songs from Cabaret, Jersey Boys, Pippin, The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Les Miserables and Wicked, along with new favorites from the 2013-14 Broadway season including Aladdin, Rocky and Bullets Over Broadway.
