Back by popular demand, Sort Of A Love Story, starring Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna returns to The Grove Theatre Friday, September 17th. This workshop performance ran for two weekends in July and August. Upland is part of the workshop process as Taylor and Bologna prepare to take this show on national tour. This is a unique opportunity for fans of this talented couple to see a work in progress.

The revised show is returning to the Grove, running the weekends of September 17th  and October 1st. Sort Of A Love Story is a bold, funny and ultimately poignant play about two people who start off with so many strikes against them, it would seem impossible for them ever to get together. But, Frankie Niente, a career criminal and Ginna Petrowski, a street smart con woman, do indeed find each other. The dramatic surprise that is revealed in their meeting, turns into a strikingly powerful and unexpectedly hilarious look at how our need to love and be loved can make miracles happen.

Written and revised by Joe Bologna and Richard Krevolin, Sort Of A Love Story stars Mr. Bologna as Frankie, and his wife, the stage, screen and TV star, Renee Taylor, as Ginna. In this tour de force comedy/drama Miss Taylor also plays all the female characters in Frankie's life, and Mr. Bologna also plays all the male characters in Ginna's life. Join two of America's favorite actor/comedians in this world premiere comedy, prior to a national tour.

If you already saw it, come back and experience the many revisions that have been made. If you missed it, you now have a chance to get to see these two fine actors perform.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, September 17th and 18th and October 1st and 2nd at 7:29 pm and Sundays,  September 19th and October 3rd at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $25 and $20 with senior, student and group discounts available. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at (909) 920-4343, or by visiting The Grove's website at http://www.grovetheatre.com.

From a letter to the editor, Daily Bulletin, August 18th  "The play, written by Bologna, flowed with passion - humor, pain, and surprise - in the story of a relationship beset with obstacles yet mysteriously conquered by love. The characters moved me so that I still think about them and identify with them. Surely, material and spiritual success will follow this transformative and truthful play on national tour. "
