This summer, Rubicon Theatre opens its doors to a number of exciting master classes for all ages and abilities. Whether you are applying for college, interested in learning a new skill, or simply want to flex your creative muscles, one of these courses will be for you!

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION! Rubicon are offering a special $50 discount if you enroll for any class online by July 6.

Each class will be run by an industry professional including Golden Globe, Emmy winning writer Cheri Steinkellner and husband Emmy award winner and Groundling Alum Bill Steinkellner, seasoned actor Matthew Floyd Miller, Shakespeare scholar Dr. Jonathan Drahos, acclaimed actress Julie Granata Hunicutt, Rubicon's first company member, Award-Winning actor Joseph Fuqua, Award-Winning Director and Rubicon Casting Director Stephanie Coltrin and performer, director and physical theatre creator Debbie McMahon.

Rubicon announces the exciting return of the Acting Intensive course from July 27-July 31, run by 6 top theatre professionals covering a range of theatrical disciplines. Students aged 13-17 and 18-23 will get the change to work intensively on a range of monologues while engaging in classes in Acting, Shakespeare, Voice, Movement, Improv, Audition Technique and Mask. This weeklong course is aimed at serious students hoping to prepare for big auditions and culminating in a showcase on Friday night.

Acting for Adults is a bi-weekly acting course for ages 24 and up run by Veteran Actor Matthew Floyd Miller. Held on Monday and Tuesday nights from July 27 through August 11, this series of evening courses will give you the chance to work on a range of different texts and hone in on your acting skills. Although this class is open to all, some acting experience is recommended.

Throughout August, Golden Globe and Emmy Award Winner Cheri Steinkellner offers the chance for women over the age of 21 to join her for a 4 week Play/Writing workshop. This course is an invitation to do two things that we barely give ourselves time to do: to PLAY and to WRITE. This fun series of weekly workshops will allow us to transcend time and space, transport and transform us.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION: SIGN UP FOR COURSES BY JULY 6 AND SAVE $50! You can enroll for a class now by visiting our website or by calling our Box Office on (805) 667-2900.
