Rogue Machine's RANT & RAVE Chapter 7 Takes Place Dec. 7 at Theatre Theater

Rogue Machine takes a group of local (vocal) writers, gives them a topic, and then a time limit. It always proves to be an evening of laughter, tears, some cathartic thinking, and wonderful discovery...with some of the most dangerous minds in the city.

ROGUE MACHINE has been in LA for a little over one year. In that time, the company has presented 2 Los Angeles premieres (COMPLEAT FEMALE STAGE BEAUTY, and STOP KISS) 3 West Coast premieres (AMERICAN DEAD, BINGO WITH THE INDIANS, and HALF OF PLENTY), 1 American premiere (NEVER LAND), and 2 World premieres (TREEFALL and RAZORBACK).

ROGUE MACHINE is a collective of award winning entertainment veterans bringing a new and distinctive voIce To Los Angeles Theatre. They are committed to building a theatre of ideas and nurturing the development of plays from contemporary writers while manifesting current culture, and consciousness.

RANT & RAVE (Chapter Seven) features: Johanna Hyman, Gary Gilbert, Amanda Mauer Penny Orloff, Joyce Gittlen, David DiBrienza, Stephanie Kerley-Schwartz, and Lou Fantasia.

JOHN POLLONO (Producer/writer/actor) has had his work produced at the Ivy Substation, Rogue Machine, The Lounge Theatre, Actor's Circle Theatre, and Theatre Unlimited. John wrote and performed in the critically acclaimed world premiere of RAZORBACK (for Rogue Machine) and the play Lost and Found which had its world premiere in 2006 and was directed by John Perrin Flynn. As an actor, John has appeared onstage at the Odyssey Theatre in The Chicago Conspiracy Trial (LA Weekly Award Nominee) and A Small Tragedy. He can be seen in the feature films THUNDER GENIUS and FORT McCOY. RAZORBACK was chosen by an overwhelming response from ‘Rogue's Gallery Play Reading Festival,' to be the final main stage production of Rogue Machine's inaugural season in Los Angeles.

John PerriN FLYNN (Producer/Artistic Director) most recently directed the critically acclaimed world premiere production of Henry Murray's TREEFALL, now playing at ROGUE MACHINE through September 6, 2009. He directed the award winning Los Angeles premiere of Rogue Machine's inaugural production, COMPLEAT FEMALE STAGE BEAUTY by Jeffrey Hatcher. John helmed the Craig Lucas' hit SMALL TRAGEDIES at The Odyssey Theatre and the world premiere of John Pollono's LOST AND FOUND at The Lounge Theatre. Executive producer and director of Lifetime's long running award winning series STRONG MEDICINE, John has produced two other series and 14 television movies or miniseries including the Emmy nominated BURDEN OF PROOF. He attended The London School of Music and Dramatic Art and has an MA degree in Theatre from Illinois State University.
