The world premier of Queerdo - Setting the Record Straight is set for the Hollywood Fringe Festival, this June. Written and performed by Ehrin Marlow (Crazy. Stupid. Love., Early and Often) Queerdo is an autobiographical one-man show, about an anxious, avocado eating, Christmas carol singing, pill popping, sexually repressed twenty-something who farted.

Ehrin started the show in 2006 while attending the University of Southern California. Originally a ten-minute piece for class where he was asked to share the most secret and scary thing about his life; the story continued to evolve. In this dynamic one-man show, Ehrin discusses his life on prescription medications, mistreatment and misjudgment about his sexuality and how he learned to keep himself alive.

Ehrin teamed up with director Bjørn Johnson over two years ago and began work shopping all the material he collected in Johnson’s acting studio. The years of work by Marlow and Johnson result in the world premier of an honest and moving portrayal of a boy who didn’t fit in who turns into a man that learns to stand up for himself.

QUEERDO will play the Fringe Central (Mainstage) The Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90038, from tonight, June 9, 2012, June 16, 2012, and June 24, 2012. Tickets are $12.00 Available at http://hff12.org/805.
