Photo Flash: THE WHIPPING MAN Celebrates Opening at Pasadena Playhouse

The Pasadena Playhouse presents, in association with South Coat Repertory, Matthew Lopez's multi-award winning play THE WHIPPING MAN as the fourth production of the 2014-2015 season. THE WHIPPING plays through March 1, 2015 at The Pasadena Playhouse. Stage and television star Charlie Robinson (NBC's "Night Court") plays Simon in this Obie Award-winning drama. In the aftermath of the Civil War, a Confederate captain and his two former slaves are drawn back to the ruins of their once grand estate. On the eve of the Passover seder, they are haunted by their scarred pasts, hit with the reality of their uncertain future, and ultimately drawn together by the strength of family.

This production of THE WHIPPING MAN was previously performed at South Coast Repertory from January 4 through January 25, 2015.
