Beverly Hills' big 100th Birthday celebration was held on January 28th at 7 PM with a star-studded Centennial Concert and Sing Along at the historic Saban Theatre (8440 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills). Scroll down for photos!
Beverly Hills High School alumna Betty White (The Golden Girls, Hot in Cleveland) was among the all-star lineup of the program which includes Pat Boone, Larry King, Florence Henderson, June Lockhart, Monty Hall, Richard Simmons and Shadoe Stevens. Composer Charles Fox (Love Boat, Happy Days) and Composer Richard Sherman (Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book). Headlining the event will be the acclaimed Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic conducted by Maestro Gary S. Greene, together with His Big Band of Barristers performing works by songwriters including George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Stephen Sondheim, as well as composers Sergei Rachmaninoff and Igor Stravinsky. These, as well as many more, have resided in Beverly Hills over the past 100 years. Also featured were the Beverly Hills High School Marching Band and Madrigal Singers.
