What critics have said about Pinter's play...
"It puzzles. And that, to an audience, is at least the food for thought we crave in bothering to attend theatre." - Backstage
"Pinter doesn't disappoint but one must admire how thoroughly he styled their world and made it his own."- The Berkshire Review for Theatre
"A Slight Ache tingled slightly of that menacing Poe." - Aussie Theatre.com
"If you want to laugh, and then want to think...A Slight Ache could be just the ticket." - Twin Cities Daily Planet
"This is a beautifully written piece, the language segueing marvelously from ferocity to lyricism with the occasional detour through middle-class twaddle thrown in for good measure. It's the kind of language that actors love..." - Australian Stage
