Pacific Resident Theatre to Open HENRY V on 2/22

By: Feb. 14, 2014

HENRY V - An upstart king inspires a nation, leading an army of ragtag misfits to fight an invincible army five times its size. Directed and adapted by Guillermo Cienfuegos.

GUILLERMO CIENFUEGOS (Director) has directed five other World Premieres for Pacific Resident Theatre - including the Ovation Award nominated Out There on Fried Meat Ridge Rd., by Keith Stevenson; Concealing Judy Holliday, by Wendy Johnson; and most recently, Welcome to Santa, by Vince Melocchi. After a successful run at PRT in 2011, his production of Vince Melocchi's Julia (for which he was nominated for an LA Weekly Theatre Award for Best Director), transferred to New York's 59E59 Theatre, Off-Broadway. Lions, his first collaboration with Melocchi, enjoyed a five-month run at PRT in 2009, was nominated for an Ovation Award and was published by Samuel French. Cienfuegos has also directed for the Chalk Repertory Theatre, the Blank Theatre Company and nom de guerre, a theatre and film collective he co-founded.
