Orlando Shakespeare Theater to Host Dance Party on the Set of THE GREAT GATSBY

By:

Join Orlando Shakespeare Theater (Orlando Shakes) for a 1920s themed dance class inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Led by The Great Gatsby choreographer Richard Lamberty, participants will learn steps to the "Charleston," the "Waltz," the "Turkey Trot," and the "Shimmy." After a short dance tutorial in a studio rehearsal hall, participants will get to practice the dances from the production on the set of The Great Gatsby.

The Great Gatsby Dance Party is approximately an hour and a half long and includes one complimentary beverage from Harriett's Bar in the Lowndes Shakespeare Center. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict their ability to move. Costumes not required, but encouraged. Admission to Dance Party does not include price of admission to the production of The Great Gatsby.

Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at Orlando Shakespeare Theater, John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 East Rollins Street, Orlando, FL 32803

Tickets to The Great Gatsby Dance Party ($20) are available online at www.orlandoshakes.org.
