By:

The Ojai Playwrights Conference (OPC) will launch its 16th season with its annual Benefit themed "Farm to Stable: A Feast of Creativity" scheduled for March 9, 2013, beginning at 4 pm, at a private ranch in Upper Ojai, California.
This year's Benefit will honor Robert Egan for his for his 35-year contribution to compelling new play development for the American theatre (see page two). Festivities begin with a cocktail reception at sunset, followed by a farm-to-table dinner, performances by amazing actors, writers and singers, a live auction, musical entertainment, and line dancing in the barn.
Hosted by Judy Ovitz, owner of Aspen Grove Ranch and an OPC Board Member, the Benefit will pair local chefs with local farmers in a four-course dinner served in and around a large, modern stable. Ojai resident and celebrity chef Claud Mann (chef-host of TV's Dinner & A Movie) is lining up participating chefs and farmers for the affair (to be announced soon)
Scheduled to appear are Patrick J. Adams, Luis Alfaro, Jon Robin Baitz, Father Greg Boyle, Bill Cain, Dana Delany, Davis Gaines, Danai Gurira, Stacy Keach , Amanda McBroom, Sarah Treem , Steven Weber, JoBeth Williams, Noah Wyle and others who will perform with readings, songs and specially written pieces in honor of Robert.
Ticket options are as follows: General Tickets ($250); Patron Tickets for Two ($1,000), and VIP Package for Ten ($3,000). Tickets may be ordered online at www.ojaiplays.org. Seating is limited, so early ticket orders are encouraged.
