OUTFEST 2011 Announces Closing Gala Screenings July 17

Outfest, the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing, showcasing and protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media, today announced its galas, including Opening and Closing Night, for the 29th Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. The nation's leading LGBT festival and the oldest film festival in the city of Los Angeles, will be held July 7th to 17th, 2011.
The festival will close on July 17 at the Ford Amphiteatre with the Kathleen Turner-starrer "The Perfect Family," in which Turner plays a devoutly Catholic housewife who has been nominated for one of the church's top awards. In order to win, she must prove that she has the ‘perfect' family (Jason Ritter, Emily Deschanel), but cannot accept them for who they are.The complete line-up for Outfest 2011 will be announced on June 7th.
