Cabaret artist Nomi Lyonns brings her pro-environmentalism show, "Cabaret Confessions of an Eco-Diva", to The Arthur Newman Theatre at The Joslyn Center on Sunday, September 25, 2011 with proceeds being donated to Joshua Tree National Park Association (www.joshuatree.org) which helps support preservation, education, historical, and scientific programs that benefit Joshua Tree Nation Park, its visitors and the global community.

Nomi Lyonns says her sassy and humorous show is the result of her many years of musical theater, cabaret, pop, and comedy training and performance, mixed with her love for the environment and her "overwhelming need to recycle". It started off as a joke her husband made about her having "save the earth personality disorder", or S.T.E.P.D. But she took it as a compliment, and with dialog help from co-writers C. Stephen Foster and Charles Pelletier, "Cabaret Confessions Of An Eco-Diva" was born. Using songs from many genres including Broadway, popular, and The Great American Songbook, Nomi and Charles came up with music selections and arrangements that both work with Nomi's personal quest and are audience pleasers as well. Ms. Lyonns, currently resides in Vancouver, Canada, but lived in Hollywood off and on for many years while honing her acting and vocal skills and is where she's done most of her professional performing. However, she continues her cabaret shows back in Vancouver where she also teaches yoga, and of course, recycles... a lot!
