The multi-award-winning NoHo Arts Center Ensemble (NoHo ACE) is thrilled to present a musical revue that speaks to the Italian in all of us, THAT'S AMORE! AN AMERICAN ITALIAN SONGBOOK. This musical autobiographical revue stars Gilmore Rizzo and is filled with fun music, laughs, and stories about a boy growing up in an Italian-American household when music was king and so was the food! Gilmore is cousin to both legendary American-Italian singer Bobby Darin & American-Italian Jazz Flugelhorn player Chuck Mangione.
'That's Amore!' features some of the best-loved songs from the last 50 years by some of the best singers like, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Connie Francis, and more.Backed up by The Three Goombahs: Paul Katz, Tod Macofsky, and Perry Gentry - THAT'S AMORE! is an evening of great harmonies, funny stories, and heartwarming memories from Gilmore's childhood about growing up in a family that really loved their music and their pasta.ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM AND CAST
GILMORE RIZZO is cousin to both American-Italian legendary singer Bobby Darin & Jazz Flugelhorn player Chuck Mangione - so a love of music and theatre is in his DNA.
Gilmore was seen as Tony for 8 1/2 years recurring on the EMMY Award winning series Murphy Brown. He may also seem familiar from his guest appearances on Roseanne, Matlock, Step By Step, Ellen, The Finelli Boys, Murder She Wrote, Living In Captivity, and was seen playing Brady Bunch Trivia with Donny & Marie Osmond on their Daytime talk show. Also an accomplished freelance television producer for HGTV, A&E, SOAPnet, E!, and U.S. field producer for an International award winning documentary on stem cell therapy for NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. April 2011 he just finished directing a two hour special at KOCE SoCal PBS about Dr. Maria Nemeth's book "The Energy Of Money".No stranger to the New York cabaret club & piano bar circuit, Bryan works currently as a singer/pianist in local clubs and resorts. He has also appeared on Broadway. His rich baritone can be heard on two cast albums for the Gershwin estate, "Lady Be Good" and "Pardon My English". He was featured on the cast album of "Her First Roman" starring Richard Kiley and Leslie Uggams. Millers voice can be heard on such full length CD's "Songs For Ex-Lovers and Wives", "The 4 Friends: Who Are Very Vocal About It!" and "What My Heart Already Knows" and "The 4 Friends Live: Playin' With My Friends!" for DucyLee Recordings. Studio singer of Disney's syndicated series "Sing Me A Story" as the voice of the Big Bad Wolf!! Another project for Disney, was writing songs for the "Winnie The Pooh" sing-along video "Sing-a-Song-With Pooh Bear" (Pooh's first full length Sing-along-musical). He can also be heard on several delightful children's favorite song recordings for "Child's Play" and on classic literary audio books for "Editorial La Casa de Espana". Bryan has a live studio CD recording called "Bryan Miller" Amazingly Life-like". Performing in front of a live audience he captures almost 40 years of hilarious patter, crowd pleasing songs, and piano bar fan favorites. Over the years he has been musical director for such cabaret performers like: Zelda Rubenstein, David Johnson, Michael Callen, Joe Hui, Donna Theodore, James Eubanks, Edie Alison, Johnny Holliday, Tribute Artist Peter Mac, Gilmore Rizzo, Poppy Fields, Tod Macofsky, and Dean Martin's talented & zany Golddigger Peggy Goel.

THAT'S AMORE! AN AMERICAN ITALIAN SONGBOOK will open on Friday, September 16 and runs through Sunday October 23 at the NoHo Arts Center, 11136 Magnolia Blvd. (at Lankershim) in North Hollywood.
