Hero Theatre announced full casting for its upcoming production of The Conduct of Life by famed Cuban-American playwright, Maria Irene Fornés. The production will star Nick Tarabay (Syfy's The Expanse, Castle, Spartacus), and will be directed by the Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Theatre Center, Jose Luis Valenzuela.

The cast also includes Hero Theatre acting ensemble members Elisa Bocanegra, Nick Caballero, Antonia Cruz-Kent, Polly Humphreys, Jonathan Medina and Adriana Sevahn Nichols. The production will take place June 8-June 25, 2017 at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner City Arts in Los Angeles.

Last April, Hero Theatre presented Festival Irene: Celebrating Master Playwright Maria Irene Fornés. The festival included staged readings of plays by Fornés and her celebrated students including Pulitzer-winning Nilo Cruz and Lisa Loomer.

As part of the festival, Passholders were able to vote on which Fornés play they wanted to see a full production of. The Conduct of Life was chosen.

Hero Theatre has also announced plans to bring Festival Irene to New York City in 2017. Details will be announced shortly.
