Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) concludes its enlightening "Baroque Conversations" series with a program led by celebrated organist and early music artist Martin Haselböck, marking his LACO debut, tonight, May 3, 2012, 7 pm, at Zipper Hall in downtown Los Angeles.
Haselböck, the esteemed music director of Musica Angelica, spotlights the Water Music of Handel and Telemann, conducting Handel's Water Music, Selections from Suite No. 1 in F major, HWV 348 and Water Music, Selections from Suite No. 2 in D major, HWV 349 as well as Telemann's Water Music Suite in C major, TWV 55:C3. An organist of world reknown, Haselböck also leads Handel's Organ Concerto in F major, Op. 4, No. 4 from the keyboard. In signature LACO style, Haselböck shares his insights into the music from the stage and invites questions from the audience. A complimentary pre-concert wine reception for ticket holders begins at 6 pm.
