Little Fish Theatre Presents Norm Foster's MELVILLE BOYS, Now thru 4/5
Little Fish Theatre today announced the opening of the second show of its thirteenth season, Norm Foster's popular romantic comedy, MELVILLE BOYS.
When two brothers take to the woods to escape from reality and reminisce in the family cabin, their plans to fish the weekend away are interrupted by a pair of attractive sisters. In a charming mix of human aspiration and romantic diversion, the four discover more than they bargained for.
Bill Wolski and Michael Hanson play the charming and very different brothers, while the lovely, distracting sisters are played by Kyla Schoer and Holly Baker-Kreiswirth. For Wolski and Baker-Kreiswirth, husband and wife, this is their fourth experience playing romantic leads together at Little Fish Theatre, including the featured roles in PANACHE, in 2012. Schoer and Hanson are new members of the Little Fish Theatre company.
"This show has a wonderful mix of humor and heart, and the cast has a wonderful chemistry," explains director Paul Vander Roest. "Foster writes unique and appealing characters, and this cast is making magic of the engaging dialog." MELVILLE BOYS is Vander Roest's directing debut at Little Fish Theatre.
MELVILLE BOYS will run Fridays and Saturdays March 7 through April 5 at 8pm, with a Sunday matinee scheduled for 2pm on March 23, after which the creative team will be available for 10 to 15 minutes for post-show discussion with the audience.
Founded in 2002, Little Fish Theatre presents classic and contemporary plays in an intimate setting on Centre Street in downtown San Pedro. Producing eleven plays each year for a one-room 65-seat venue, Little Fish delivers the quintessential close-up theatrical experience, where audience and performers share space and sight-lines, making for eruptive laughter, highly-charged action and palpable emotion.
