LOVE AFTER DEATH Comes to Hollywood Fringe
The Happy/Sad Artist Collective is thrilled to announce the world premiere of Brittany Stahl's one-woman show, Love After Death. As part of The Hollywood Fringe Festival, the performance dates are May 31, June 9, 15 and 16 at Studio/Stage in Koreatown.
What happens when love meets anxiety? And OCD? And depression? Writer Brittany Stahl doesn't pretend to know the answers but she sure has fun trying to figure them out. What originally began as an exploration of the fear of falling in love has now emerged as a series of character sketches that anyone who has ever had a faulty defense mechanism is sure to relate to. Stahl presents each of her coping "skills" and puts them to the test in a delicately balanced comedic excavation of her self.
"It's real. It's raw and dripping with humor and wit," says Artistic Director Alan Stevens.
Premiering at the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, Love After Death is an accessible and humorous examination of mental illness without shame or apology.
