L.A. Theatre Works On the Air Presents RFK: THE JOURNEY TO JUSTICE 1/22

By:

Beginning Saturday, January 22, L.A. Theatre Works' Radio Theatre Series will air RFK: The Journey to Justice by Murray Horwitz and Jonathan Estrin, starring Henry Clarke, Philip Casnoff, Kevin Daniels, Michael LeyDon Campbell, Kyle Colerider-Krugh, Ross Hellwig, Thomas Vincent Kelly, Sheilynn Wactor, and John Wesley. The broadcast can be heard locally in Southern California on Saturday from 10 pm to midnight on 89.3 KPCC, and can also be streamed on demand at http://www.latw.org/.

In this L.A. Theatre Works original production, the reluctant scion of an American political dynasty is forced to confront his country's most explosive social issue: civil rights. But as Robert Kennedy becomes a bold advocate for change, he must quell a rising tide of discontent.

L.A. Theatre Works' presentation of RFK: The Journey to Justice is a commission led by the University of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and co-commissioned by the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, Stanford Lively Arts at Stanford University, and the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond. RFK: The Journey to Justice is also made possible in part by the Susan Raab Simonson Commissioning Project. Additional funding was provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.

L.A. Theatre Works' radio theater series can also be heard on the following stations (check local listings for broadcast times): 89.7 WGBH, Boston; 91.5 WBEZ, Chicago; 94.9 KUOW, Seattle; 90.1 WABE, Atlanta; 94.1 KPFA, Berkeley; 91.1 KRCB, North Bay (San Francisco); and in over 100 other markets nationwide.
