LA New Court Theatre to Produce THE FEAST by Celine Song

In a new post-meat reality, hungry dinner guests wait for a latecomer to arrive before they can eat. As their stomachs growl, they cling to traces of civilization before eventually reverting to angry beasts, driven mad by the violent needs of the body and spirit.
First produced at Columbia University; Original Direction by Celine Song; THE FEAST is presented through special arrangement with Celine Song.

Josie Adams was recently seen in LA New Court Theatre's Jason & (Medea) and the World Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's Little Man. National Tours: A Christmas Carol, Magic Tree House. Lucas Dixon is a recent graduate of the Yale School of Drama where he was the recipient of the prestigious Herschel Williams Prize for excellence in acting. Praised over the course of his 20 year career for his transformational character work and masterful storytelling ability, Lucas is equally at home on stage, screen, and in the sound booth. Regional houses include Williamstown Theater Festival, Chautauqua Theater Company, and Utah Shakespeare Festival to name a few. Television credits include Masters of Sex and Elementary. AEA, SAG-AFTRA.
Michael Farris is excited to perform in his first LA New Court Theatre production with such a stellar cast and crew. Michael received his BFA in Acting from Webster University in 2013 and moved to Los Angeles shortly after. He wants to thank each and every one of you for supporting live theater and also, #adoptdontshop. AEA.
Jamie Janek is not new to LA or Theatre but definitely new to the LA New Court Theatre - and is so honored to be. She has primarily put her focus in comedy, doing stand up and writing and shooting new sketches. This play has brought her back home to the stage where she learned the love of acting. Marianna Caldwell (Director/Production Designer) is excited to return to directing with this dark, funny play by fellow Columbia grad, Celine Song. As an actor, Marianna was most recently seen in the world premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's play Little Man and in The Tempest at NYC's Classic Stage Company. MFA: Columbia University. Michael D. Finley (Assistant Director) is happy to be a part of his first LA New Court Theatre production as assistant director for The Feast. Previously he completed a degree in Theatre and Communication at Northwestern University and performed in plays throughout Chicago, including The Aliens, Port Authority, and Midsummer Night's Dream. TV credits include ABC's The Middle. Thanks to Marianna and the cast for bringing me into the conversation!
Daniel Shelden (Stage Manager) just recently moved to L.A. from Idaho after graduating from Idaho State University with a B.A. in Theatre. Daniel couldn't be more excited to be here or more happy to be involved with L.A. New Court Theatre. He is also very excited to take long walks on the beach.

Celine Song is a playwright living in Brooklyn. She is a member of Ars Nova's 2014 Play Group, a 2012 Edward F. Albee Foundation Writing Fellow, a 2014 resident at Yaddo, a 2014 Great Plains Theatre Conference Playlab Playwright, and a 2013 Sponsored Artist of Theatre That Transcends. MFA: Columbia
