KURIOS from Cirque du Soleil to Present Fireworks Spectacular on 4th of July at Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers will open a 10-game homestand with a bang on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 against the New York Mets.

The Dodgers will have back-to-back fireworks shows with Denny's presenting the show on Friday, July 3 at 7:10 p.m. The Dodgers will pay special tribute to our U.S. Armed Forces on the 4th of July with a fireworks spectacular presented by KURIOS from Cirque du Soleil. The Dodgers and Mets square off on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. and the USO Show Troupe will have a special performance after the game followed by the fireworks show set to begin at approximately 8:45 p.m.

Cirque du Soleil, the theatrical production company that has entertained millions of people across the world, will present the fireworks show following the game. Cirque du Soleil will make its first visit to Dodger Stadium beginning Dec. 10 with its newest touring show, KURIOS -- Cabinet of Curiosities.

The USO Show Troupe, comprised of professional performers possessing extensive Broadway and off-Broadway credits, will present a patriotic musical performance between the game and the fireworks show.

The National Anthem will be sung by Coast Guard member Mike Dalager with guitarist Bruce Kulick. A large American Flag will be displayed and held by members of the Armed Forces. Wounded Warrior Chad Pfeifer will throw out the first pitch and the color guard will represent all branches of the military. A Bald Eagle from The Los Angeles Zoo will also participate in the pregame festivities.

The series with the Mets concludes Sunday, July 5 at 1:10 p.m. with Photo Day when fans can take photos of their favorite Dodgers on the field prior to the game. In addition, Viva Los Dodgers presented by State Farm and Time Warner Cable and located at the historic 76 station begins at 11 a.m. and will feature photos with Dodger broadcaster Fernando Valenzuela.

The homestand will continue with a four-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies (July 6-7-8-9) and conclude with the Milwaukee Brewers visiting for three games (July 10-11-12) prior to the All-Star break.

USO Show Troupe is part of an entertainment tradition that goes back more than seventy years to its beginnings in the muddy camp shows of the South Pacific.
