'JOSEPH' Steps in for THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER in Pantages' 2013-14 Broadway Season, Beg. Tonight

By:

The Hollywood Pantages announced a change to its 2013-2014 Broadway Series lineup following the news that the national tour of THE MUSIC OF Andrew Lloyd Webber has been postponed for a subsequent season.

A new tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT will fill the same time slot - tonight, June 3 - 22, 2014 -- on the season ticket package which also includes productions of The Wizard of Oz, War Horse, Evita, The Lion King, The Book of Mormon, American Idiot, Ghost and Once. "We are thrilled to welcome JOSEPH back to our stage," said Martin Wiviott, General Manager. "This show is a crowd pleaser that is sure to delight our audiences of all ages with its epic story and high energy score."

This production of JOSEPH will replace the playing dates formerly held by the previously-announced engagement of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Tickets for JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT are currently only available to patrons who purchase Pantages Season Tickets at www.HollywoodPantages.com or by calling the Season Ticket office at 866-755-2929 (Mon - Fri; 9:30am - 5:30pm). The Pantages Theatre is located at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard, just east of Vine Street. Box office hours vary. Box office opens daily at 10am through July 28. Summer box office hours, in effect July 29-September 13, will be Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 12noon-4pm.

One of the most enduring shows of all time, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King), JOSEPH blends pop, country and rock into an uplifting, technicolored story of biblical proportions.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door. "JOSEPH is still the wittiest of Lloyd Webber's extravaganzas," declares the Orlando Sentinel.

The performance schedule for JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is Tuesday through Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 1pm & 6:30pm. Opening Night is Tuesday June 3rd at 8pm.

Orchestra level tickets for JOSEPH start at just $25. Single tickets will go on sale at a future date to be announced. Prices are subject to change without notice.
