The JACCC and Cinefamily are pleased to present the classic Japanese film series Katsudo Shashin (Moving Pictures) with the rare screening of When a Woman Ascends the Stairs at the Cinefamily Theatre on Fairfax Avenue on Tuesday, April 26 at 8pm.
Directed by the highly influential Mikio Naruse, the film features the recently deceased Hideko Takamine. Actress Yoko Sugi will be present to discuss her experiences with both Naruse and Takamine.
