I CAME TO MAKE NOISE Hits Hollywood Fringe

By: May. 08, 2018

I CAME TO MAKE NOISE Hits Hollywood Fringe ImageCarrie Mikuls is proud to present the World Premiere of I Came to Make Noise. Winner of The Encore Producers' Award and nominee for the 2Cents Distinctive Voices Award, I Came To Make Noise is a hip hop feminist theatrical happening that uses dance, beatbox and spoken word. 3 women share their fears, faults and journeys to self-awareness. Never again asking permission but speaking with vision in the first person: I am enough,  I am brave, I am an American. I Came to Make Noise extends as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival’s  Encore Producers’ Award on July 15th at the Lounge Theatre

Bill Raden of L.A. Weekly called Mikuls' choreography "harrowingly evocative hip-hop choreography that packs a good deal of the pieces' visceral and political punch."
