The critically acclaimed Glendale Centre Theatre (GCT), now in its 64th year as the longest, continually-operating theatre in the United States, continues its 2011 season with an exuberant and rambunctious production of SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS September 29 through November 19.

With Lyrics by Johnny Mercer, Music by Gene de Paul; and additional songs and lyrics by Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn, goin' courtin' has never been as much fun as in this rip-roaring stage version of the popular 1954 Academy Award nominated MGM movie, adapted by Lawrence Kasha and David Landay. The high energy comedy features over a dozen delightful musical numbers that come to life through The Combined efforts of Director Robert Marra, Choreographer Lee Martino, and Musical Director Steven Applegate. GCT Producers Tim and Brenda Dietlein have set a cast of 23 led by regional musical theatre stars Jason Webb and Jennifer Johnson Webb. The Glendale Centre Theatre is an Actors Equity Association Guest Contract venue.

Millie (Jennifer Johnson Webb) weds Adam Pontipee (Jason Webb), one of seven brothers living together in the 1850's Oregon wilderness. Determined to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law to ensure the success of her own marriage, Millie's plan backfires when, in their enthusiasm, the brothers kidnap six women from a neighboring town to be their brides. Bursting with the rambunctious energy of the film, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers embraces the boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical.

Costume Design is by Angela Wood; Set Design and Lighting Design is by Tim Dietlein. Nathan J. Milisavljevich is credited for Sound Design. Tim Dietlein also oversees Stage Management and serves as the GCT's Artistic Director.
