Gala Celebration Show from Broadway Under the Stars Sept. 9-11

By:

Transcendence Theatre Company will conclude their 2016 season of spectacular outdoor Broadway concerts in Sonoma Wine Country with a special Gala Weekend of performances at Jack London Stare Historic Park runningSeptember 9, 10 and 11. Transcendence Theatre Company was named by USA Today's 10BEST as the #2 "Outdoor Concert Venue You Shouldn't Miss" in the United States. At the conclusion of this season, Transcendence performances in Sonoma County will have been seen by over 75,000 people and will have raised over $263,000 to benefit the Jack London State Historic Park.

This is the fifth season for Transcendence Theatre Company shows presented at the Park. GALA CELEBRATION CONCERT - September 9-11-the climax of the Transcendence season-is a celebration of the highlight moments from the summer's performances plus community tributes and reflections. A fundraiser for Transcendence Theatre Company, the event also includes a silent auction, raffle and more.

"This year, our shows have explored so many significant experiences with our audience-from stories that talk about the peak moments in our lives to a fantastical family night to the captivating liberating feeling of dancing the night away-but the Gala will be completely music focused with the largest band we've ever had for any show," is how Gala director and company Associate Artistic Director Roy Lightner describes the upcoming event. He continues: "There will be multiple genres of music including classical, opera, contemporary pop, all with beautiful new arrangements and of course, our signature 'Transcendence twist.' And we will not only be featuring our artists singing and dancing but will showcase some of them as instrumentalists, fully integrating the performers and the band and infusing this show with more musicality than ever before."

Transcendence's Broadway Under the Stars is an award-winning series of Broadway-inspired concerts featuring performers from Los Angeles and New York-artists who come to the Sonoma stage directly from recent Broadway appearances. More than a standard musical revue, each show weaves popular Broadway songs into a spectacular themed performance performed in the open-air 150-year-old Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park.

All Broadway Under The Stars performances begin with picnicking amidst scenic vineyard settings-food trucks or gourmet picnic baskets spread out, local wineries pouring and pre-show music casting a magical spell of communal festivity and a summer party. Sunset heralds the start of the show and the stage begins to sparkle as dusk descends and the Broadway stars sing and dance under a starlit sky.

The Gala Celebration shows are at Jack London State Historic Park at 2400 London Ranch Road Glen Ellen, CA. Pre-show picnics begin at5:00 pm and the show commences at 7:30 pm. Tickets range from $42 to $134 and are on sale at www.TTCsonoma.org. $5 of every ticket sold for Broadway Under the Stars shows will benefit Jack London State Historic Park.

Group tickets are available at a special discount for individuals and organizations.
