GOOD, BAD BUT BEAUTIFUL Plays The Comedy Store In LA 8/14, 8/21, 8/28
Good, Bad But Beautiful is set in 1966 in sunny downtown Las Vegas at 2am as the songbirds known as "The Beautifuls" - Mitzi, Honey and Bette take to the stage in The Tonga Room Lounge at the Coconut Cabana Motel to entertain the crowd.
Mitzi, Honey and Bette have been belting out 4 sets a night, 5 nights a week for the last 6 months. "The Beautifuls" are GOOD, they're BAD, they're BEAUTIFUL and so so so exhausted!
A hilarious bouffant pastiche billing it evokes the era of teased hair, sequined gowns and jungle red nails - Whether it's It Must Be Him, The Way of Love, Is That All There Is? or the 19 song Broadway Medley - the music enthralls even as onstage jealousies drive the gals to attempt to capture (or recapture!) the spotlight and move up the lounge ladder to the "Main Room"
Good, Bad But Beautiful celebrates the music of legendary singers as Shirley Bassey Vikki Carr, Eydie Gorme and Peggy Lee with songs sung live by "The Beautifuls"
Good, Bad But Beautiful book was created and staged by Richard Hochberg
The show stars: Heidi Godt, Sylvia MacCalla, Carrie Strauber as "The Beautifuls" with Jeffrey Rockwell as the "Piano Man"
Good, Bad But Beautiful has had sold out runs at Tatou Supper Club in Beverly Hills., Luna Park in West Hollywood and The Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. it was nominated for 3 LA WEEKLY awards including Best Musical, Best Supporting Actor and Best Ensemble.
