Mc Coy Rigby Entertainment & FX Arts are thrilled to open their all-new "Broadway Series" of shows with one of the most popular musicals of all time, the heavenly musical, FOREVER PLAID written by Stuart Ross and directed and choreographed by one of the original "Plaids," David Engel. FOREVER PLAID  performs for three performances only  at the Fox Riverside Performing Arts Center, 3801 Mission Inn Avenue in Riverside.

FORVER PLAID is an affectionate musical homage to the close-harmony "guy groups" of the 1950s. Personifying the clean-cut genre are the "Plaids." One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to perform the show that never was. Written and Originally Directed and Choreographed by Stuart Ross, this is a show for the whole family to enjoy.

David Engel (Director/Choreographer) appeared on Broadway in Putting It Together, Seussical: The Musical, and in the original La Cage Aux Folles. He is most noted for creating the role of Smudge in the original New York production of Forever Plaid, it's holiday sequel Plaid Tidings and stars in "Forever Plaid: The Movie" which has just been released on DVD. David is recreating Forever Plaid at this theatre with all of it's original direction and choreography with a few additions as a bonus for the Fox . Mr. Engel has directed and choreographed numerous productions including Singin' In The Rain, Seussical, Sunset Blvd., and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. He directed the original commercials for Forever Plaid and The World Goes Round, and created and directed the MGM/UA HOME VIDEO "Logo-Fanfare" which heads each video release. He produced and directed a documentary as a companion to the video release of "That's Entertainment Iii," and recently served as the Film Sequence Director for "Judy Garland: A Tribute At Carnegie Hall," "The Busby Berkeley Suite" With The Boston Pops, And "Carnegie Hall Celebrates The Glorious MGM Musicals."

The cast of FOREVER PLAID will feature: Jeffrey Scott Parsons as Sparky, Michael Covert as Smudge, David Humphrey as Frankie and Nick Lorenzini as Jinx.

FOREVER PLAID has assembled an award-winning design team. The Lighting Design is by Steven Young. The Sound Design is by Julie Ferrin. The stage manager is Jill Gold.

FOREVER PLAID will open on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 8pm and will also perform on Saturday, October 8 at 2pm & 8pm.
