Found Theatre Offers Exclusive Long Beach Screening of New Documentary 'The Brainwashing Of My Dad' Today

By:

The Found Theatre of Long Beach screens the new documentary, "The Brainwashing Of My Dad," this weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 24, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for all ages; no reservations are required. Refreshments are available.

In the film produced by Matthew Modine and Adam Rackoff, filmmaker Jen Senko explores how her WWII veteran and Kennedy Democrat father was transformed into a Fox News fanatic, suddenly and inexplicably railing against minorities, homosexuals, poor people and Democrats. Using her dad as an example, Senko pulls back the curtain to expose the tools and tricks of the wizards behind the right-wing media revolution. In discovering what happened to him, Senko reveals the all-too-chilling bigger picture of what's happening behind the scenes to influence our national discourse. "In this important election year, we're honored to be able to screen this timely, entertaining and informative documentary in its exclusive Long Beach engagement," said Found Theatre executive director, Virginia DeMoss.

Founded by Long Beach artist Cynthia Galles in 1974, The Found Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that has been providing the community with live theatre with a social conscience and a sense of humor for more than 42 years. Part of The Found's mission is using its productions and performance space to fund-raise for other non-profits.
