Fashion Institute Midwest Designer Dan Richters Shows Latest Collection in L.A.

By:

Fashion Institute Midwest (FIM) sponsored designer, Dan Richters, has been busy since moving his designer showroom to Los Angeles, California. Richters is showing his latest collection at the Ivan Bitton Style House, located on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.

Dan has been a recipient of grants from the Fashion Institute Midwest, a non-profit that provides support to aspiring local designers. His most recent grant was specifically for the purpose of traveling to Los Angeles and making arrangements to be represented by the Ivan Bitton Style House.

Richters' recent design accomplishments include styling actor/model Eugenia Kuzmina, dressing actress Alexa Mansour of the television series, How to Get Away with Murder for a red carpet event and having model Algo Brehane wear one of his dresses to the premiere of Love Everlasting.

"I'm thrilled about the exposure my designs are receiving and FIM is responsible for helping me get there," said Richters. "The Midwest design community is very lucky to have this organization." Additionally, Musician Emily Lazar of September Mourning will be wearing Richters' designs for tour performances.

"This is exactly what we strive to support through the efforts of our volunteers and donors," said Judy Davis, board member of the Fashion Institute of the Midwest. "We have an enormous amount of design talent in our backyard and we want to help make them successful and economically viable on a national level."
