By:

Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre presents Disney's "Mars Needs Moms" for a special engagement March 11 through April 21, 2011, it was announced today by Lylle Breier, senior vice president of worldwide special events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Featuring unforgettable characters, comedy and fast-paced action, "Mars Needs Moms" is set in a cool, multi-level, never-before-imagined world under the surface of Mars. To celebrate the film's elaborate setting, the El Capitan Theatre will also host a special NASA and JPL Space Exploration Exhibit where guests can learn more about NASA's exploration of Mars before and after every showing of the movie. The display from NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratory California Institute of Technology features authentic models of the Phoenix Lander, Curiosity Rover, Mars Odyssey Orbiter, and more.

Breier said, "We are thrilled to welcome Disney's hilarious feature "Mars Needs Moms" to the El Capitan Theatre, and give our guests the kind of adventure they just can't get anywhere else. In addition to seeing the movie in sparkling Disney Digital 3DTM, our El Capitan guests will have a one of a kind opportunity to experience a special exhibit from NASA and JPL, bringing them into the world of this film as only the El Capitan can!"

Daily show times are 10:00am, 1:00pm, 2:30pm, 4:00pm, 7:00pm, and 9:30pm. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), online at www.elcapitantickets.com, or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6. Special group rates for parties of 20 or more are available by calling 1-818-845-3110. Showtimes subject to change.

The El Capitan Theatre will also have a special "Tiny Tot Tuesday" on Tuesday, March 15, at 10:00am only. During this special screening of "Mars Needs Moms" parents and small children can enjoy the movie in a "Tiny Tot" friendly way - complete with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels!

Take out the trash and eat your broccoli - who needs moms, anyway? In Disney's "Mars Needs Moms," Nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green) finds out just how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when she's nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. Produced by the team behind "Disney's A Christmas Carol" and "The Polar Express", "Mars Needs Moms" showcases Milo's quest to save his mom - a wild adventure in Disney Digital 3DTM that involves stowing away on a spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader (Mindy Sterling). With the help of a tech-savvy, underground earthman named Gribble (Dan Fogler) and a rebel Martian girl called Ki (Elizabeth Harnois), Milo just might find his way back to his mom- in more ways than one.
